Sculptures ND Julian
Metz,
February 1989,
couturier and designer, I was about to create my first sculpture, a
male bust. The human body would be again a source of inspiration for
years to come.
In that time I had met
two new models. They formed the perfect glamour couple. Young and
beautiful, they had just met and they were fondly in love. Was it by
chance that our first collaboration was for the Marriage Salon. This
first experience was the first of a series in which they were the soul
of my creations. She was the muse of a series of dresses that
suggested femininity, glamour and even provocation. A perfume! He
would be the image. A male bust that evoked the statues in Ancient
Greece, ironically the last place they visited together. Without being
aware of it, when creating the flask I was making my first sculpture.
For three years every show was an excuse to gather. |
